The past week has been a lovely time of reconnecting with old friends and seeing family as I’ve been in southern California where I grew up. My mom still lives in the house we moved into when I was 8 months old and many of the neighbors are still here. It’s fun to come back and get reconnected with the neighborhood again.

The main reasons for coming here were to see my brother’s family and to help my mom with some organizing projects. The side benefit has been all the other friends I have been able to see.

Often in my newsletters, I talk about appreciating loved ones. That’s what I’m doing right now. I’ve seen childhood friends and neighbors, my mom, my brother and his family and I’m loving it.
